Temporary Order Debacle

This is a small segment of a very confusing and ugly divorce / custody battle in Houston Texas that I am trying to help a friend with.

A) The mother originally had temporary custody of her children.

B) Complications due to a fight over ownership of a company between the mother and grandmother left the mother penniless.

C) The mother lost her home and was left to give temporary care (not temporary guardianship) to the grandmother.

D) The grandmother fought for custody of the children.

E) The grandmother was awarded temporary custody of the children

F) The grandmother dropped out of the custody battle

G) The final custody hearing has not yet taken place.

The mother does not have access to the children. The children stay with the grandmother who is fighting with her own daughter, the mother. The father shares access to the children with the grandmother.

Question:
Being that the grandmother dropped out of the custody battle, does the temporary custody default back to the mother?

Probably not yet. See what the court hearing brings. If she has failed to answer, or plans on failing to appear, your "friend" SHOULD have a Default Judgement ready for the judge to sign.
