I may give temp. custody of my child to a family member for up to a year...or Power of Attorney if that is all I need.
My question is this. Bio father (ex husband ) is not named on the birth certificate, due to reasons at the time it would have been detrimental in doing so, and I was granted Sole Parental Custody as the ex husband is from another country and resides there and divorce papers state he is not able to assist me with any decision making due to residing out of the USA.
He has never been involved in our childs life, nor come up to see our child. Ever.
Would I have to obtain his consent in order to have a family member help me out for a while with Temp. custody? They live in the same state.
