I received my paycheck a few days ago and found that my hourly wages has decreased a dollar. I asked my employer why this was and the reason she had provided was this: "This year we moved the entry-level wages down and because you had a verbal probation you are considered entry-level." Is it legal for them to do this without giving me some sort of warning ahead of time?

They may legally reduce your wages but they must notify you in advance of any hours worked at the lower rate.

You can call the states industrial commission and ask about this.
