summer visitation

Hi. I've been divorced for 7 years, with an 11 year old child. She spends every other weekend with her father. Today he said he wants her every other week this summer. Can he do this? I know he has rights, but for 7 years he never kept her longer than a weekend. She doesn't want to go, I don't want her to go. Can I prevent this from happening? I live in Indiana and have primary physical custody. Thanks.

What does your decree say about summer/school break visits? Normally the NCP gets a few uninterrupted weeks in the summer, but it depends what the decree says. If there is nothing in the papers regarding summer visits and you do not work out something with him, then he can take you back to court.
