Student Loan Fraud

My ex-girlfriend took out two private student loans totaling around 50,000.00$ in my name. I believe she forged my signature. Her mother is the co-signer. She promised she would pay them , but she has not. I need my name off these loans, she is destroying my credit. I have talked with Sallie Mae about this, and they say I need to file a police report. What should I do? I don't want her to go to jail. I just want her to take responsibility for the loans.

She has no intention of taking responsibility. File a police report. Sallie Mae won't take you seriously until you do.
