Stolen or misplaced electronics by a 13 year old

I was at an amusement park and rented a locker for my daughter and 2 other children to store their personal articles. My daughter then unknown to me allowed other children to use the locker. During the day her and her friends opened the locker and some items would not fit back into locker. She then told the owner and items were then left by locker. Later the owner did not get them and items were either stolen or misplaced. Now the mother of the 13 year old is threatening a law suit against me to recover the items. Items are a iPhone and iPad. Can I be held liable fina vitally for the items or are they just lost items??
