I was rear-ended 7-31-06 with the statute running out 7-31-08. I still have not sent the adjuster my demand for P&S compensation. I plan to send this ASAP, with complete documents including medical reports, photos, etc. I realize it is very late, but I wanted to wait to be sure I was recovered as much as possible (only have soft tissue injury). My questions: Is it too late? Is it good to request they answer within 15 days? Are they obligated to settle with me? I don't have a lawyer and would like to avoid that if possible. Any advice is appreciated.

They aren't obligated to settle with you. In fact, they may draw it out because chances are most people will give up and not file an actual lawsuit because it's costly and time consuming. I don't know many lawyers who would take your case on at this stage with it being so close to the statute of limitations and only soft tissue injuries.
