I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a statute of limitations on attempted theft? My mother was arrested for shoplifting. After we paid $1000.00 for an old fine and bond a county 50 miles away had a 12 year old warrant on her for attempted theft. Is there a statute of limitations on that? Any help would greatly appreciated. We are in Alabama.
