HELP!!! I have about a month before her CD comes due. My mother put me on her $10,000 CD at our bank in New Jersey. I live in Pennsylvania and the creditor knows about my bank account but not about my mother's CD. They are about to get a judgment. My question is -- can they put a lien against my mother's CD even though I am only listed as "or" and the primary address is hers and she gets all the notices?

I dislike having to tell her I am in trouble with creditors and that she needs to cash in her CD before they can attach it. What do I do? Can they attach it. I know it would be a "foreign" judgment since Pennsylvania is where I am being sued but I am sure those turkeys will do the procedure to garnish my New Jersey bank account. MY bank account has only about $17 in it --the debt is $7,800 and I can't pay it. HELP!!!

This is $7,800 debt -- my original limit was only $3,000 -- the rest is all late and "overlimit" charges.
