I live in Georgia and my husband's brother was awarded guardianship and conservatorship over him. My husband is15yrs my senior, had a stroke , and now is disabled and in a nursing facility. I have been a stay at home mom (my 14yr old child) the 4yrs we have been married. He only became disabled within the last year. Am I just left in the cold with no rights or money to live? His brother took over the bank accounts and wants to file a divorce for him and sale the home I'm still living in.

You will be if you don't get yourself a lawyer first thing in the morning.

And, please, don't say you can't afford one. You can't afford not to have one.

You should have had one to contest your brother-in-law's conservatorship application.

If you let that slide, don't make the same mistake twice.

Yikes - you needed a lawyer like yesterday. Good luck to you.
