I was stopped for speeding (76/55). Officer asked did I want to view radar. I said "yes". Because I believed I was not speeding. He returned to his car ... called for back-up & returned to my car, ordered me out of vehicle. (Radar was never mentioned again?) He said my tag # showed as suspended registration. Assumed it was from no insurance, although current ins card was in vehicle. Cuffed me and put me in back of his car. Informed me he was going to search my car. I told him I did not consent to a search. He said, "So, you're being arrested. You don't have to consent." He smelled nothing or seen nothing prior to search. He found marijuana and small 22 handgun after digging under luggage and under passenger seat (completely out of my reach or "wingspan" at time of arrest).
Can I fault the officer for failing to show me radar?
