Speeding - Incorrect Infraction Date

Last week in Charlotte I was pulled over and issued a speeding citation for doing 54 MPH in a 45 MPH Zone. At the time I was issued the citation I also was given a flyer that includes the information on how to take a class and receive a "prayer for judgement continued". Based on what I have read here, since it was less than 10 mph over the speed limit I do not have to use the prayer for judgement and should probably save it in case I really need it. Is this sound logic....

The next day, upon inspecting the citation more carefully I realized that the two areas where the date of infraction was filled was an incorrect date. When filling out the citation the officer actually wrote the following days date both where the infraction is listed as well as where he signed his name. I know in NY they would normally trow a citation like this out based on the incorrect information. Is that normally the case down here. Should I contest this in court????
