After a Writ of Execution has been filed with the county sheriff, assumimg no assets are found that can be levied against, what is the next step in collecting a judgement in South Carolina? The debtor owns a home and a business. Is there a debtor's interrogatory, or whatever it may be called in SC, where the debtor can be summoned back to court to disclose his/her assets? I know SC doesn't garnish wages and is known as a debtor's haven, but surely it doesn't mean that no one who owes doesn't have to pay his debts, does it?

I didn't loan anyone anything. I was ripped off by a contractor. I understand a judgement is nothing but a piece of paper. My question is what can I do to collect the judgement. I'm not interested in turning it over to someone else for pennies on the dollar. Is there a process by which a debtor can be brought back to court to reveal his assets as there is in other states?
