Hi,

My wife and I have been married 4 years and have a two year old daughter. I have recently lost my job and I am going to move about 4 hours away to my hometown to find a new job, my wife and daughter are going to stay here and move in with her parents until she gets on her feet.

We are not getting divorced yet, but probably will.

My question is, does me moving hurt my chances of getting sole custody, if my daughter is going to live with her mother?

Does it also hurt my chances of custody because my wife was a stay at home mom?

What about temorary custody? would a judge give it to me if I asked ?

Thanks

You would be unlikely to get custody if you move 4 hours away. A court is not going to uproot the child from the custodial parent unless absolutely necessary. Your move will interfere with visitation so it is very unlikely you would get sole living so far away.
