My sister's ex boyfriend has had custody of my nephew for approximately two years, and when my sister attained him this summer she decided not to give him back to her ex. Her ex supposedly filed for custody in NY and for some reason his sister delivered the paper to my sister. Is my sister really supposed to be able to go to NY two weeks after she was "summoned" by her ex's sister? I checked out the docket number and it checks out.... but something doesn't seem right about this.... My sisters ex got cracked out basically and moved to NY, abandoned his girlfriend and his 2 year old son, my sister lets him have him for a year and she was supposed to get him back, but he started acting shady and not wanting to give her visitation. My sister is a very fit mother and provides and excellent environment for her child. She cannot afford to fight this case in NY.... any tips???? Anything will help, thanks.
