My boyfriend just found out he has a daughter and wants to know the facts and how to go about sining over his parental rights. We have been told by several people that if you sing over your rights that he wouldn't have to pay child support. We just want to know know the facts and how to sing over his rights

Your listening to wrong people! A TPR will not releive him of any past suppor tonly future support. Second and most important unless Mom is married and her current husband (of at least one year) is willing to adopt, no TPR will be granted

You are absolutely clueless on this. The law does not allow so that your boyfriend can be a legal deadbeat and make us tax payers support the child. If the mother was on any sort of gov't assistance or she filed for child support, he will have to pay and there is no way to get out of it unless the child gets adopted by someone else.

Deal with the fact your boyfriend has a child and he probably will have to pay support.
