I am curious to know if you have signed a paternity affidavit in Washington state if or how can you can sign your rights over and if so, would you still be liable for child support?

In most cases, support stops when rights are terminated, but any back support would still be owed.

You cannot just terminate your rights. The mother must agree to this and generally there needs to be a step-parent adoption in place of it.

There needs to be an attorney involved as this is not a do it yourself type of thing.
