Shoplifting F Visa

I am an international student that just moved into the US a year ago. I was caught shoplifting 65$ worth of makeup at a store and was given an arrest afidavit and told I would be receiving a court appointment in the mail. I have to travel back home in order to renew my passport in a couple of days so it will be before I can actually go to court. I am scared about how my student visa will be affected since I have to travel outside of the country. Will I be deported? or will they let me travel normally? Will I be allowed to reenter the US in a couple of weeks when I come back?

I suggest you contact your embassy in Washington DC. You might not ave to leave the US to get your passport renewed, many embassies do it in country for their citizens. If you leave, no one can guarantee that you'll be permitted to reenter. But, traveling to DC is cheaper, faster, and avoids a problem at the port of entry.
