Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft shoplifting at kohls

hi, i was caught shoplifting for an item worth $9. wasnt my intention to do so. just happened. i felt bad. no cops were called but the lp told me to be expectn a civil demand..how much wil the civil demand be? will this be on my record? am i going to court? after paying the civil demand, wil the case end? am so worried right now

Not unless the store files criminal complaint which I see as unlikely
