I live in California. I am thinking of filing for a divorce. I own a home which was purchased before we were married. We have no kids. My wife doesn't want to leave because if she did her expenses would be a lot higher since she only contributes a little bit toward expenses. She makes more money than I do so money is not an issue. If she refuses to leave how can I force her out?

you'll have to go through formal eviction proceedings. In your divorce filing you ask for sole possestion of the house and for her to move.
