If adultery was named for a crime, is it also named for non-crime? It's like saying yes and no means the same. What does it mean then? Are you buying or selling?
Yes, it's adultery - voluntary sexual relations between an individual who is married and someone who is not the individual's spouse. Doesn't matter if there's an exchange of money or not.
It's also prostitution. Prostitution is a crime for which both parties can be prosecuted.
Adultery is not a crime in California nor is it grounds for divorce anymore, although it could have an effect on custody and spousal support as explained in the following article:
Adultery & Divorce Laws in California
I am married.
I'm buying sex. What happens if I buy sex in Nevada, the only U.S. jurisdiction to allow some legal prostitution. Is it adultery? Are you buying or selling?

So when adultery is not a crime, it's just consider a sexual activity or what? I don't get it.That question makes no sense. I just wrote that it's not a crime (in California where your IP address is). It might be a crime in other states. That it's a crime some place and not a crime some place else doesn't mean that yes and no means the same.
That's just plain silly.
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary (you've heard of it?) defines adultery as: voluntary sexual relations between an individual who is married and someone who is not the individual's spouse.
So, yes, having sex with somebody who is not your wife is adultery whether you pay for it or not.
Depends on where you buy sex in Nevada. Prostitution is illegal in Clark County (where Las Vegas is) and Washoe County (where Reno is). In other parts of the state it is legal ONLY in licensed brothels.
PS: Adultery is also not a crime in Nevada.
Is sex for money adultery? I am married.

It's a Class B misdemeanor here in NY but I'll bet it's been at least 50 years since anyone was prosecuted for it.
Is sex for money adultery? I am married.
And then there is one State in our country where sex for money is legal in some counties. Unbelievable. Now you've got it.

Untrue.
In Nevada, prostitution isn't legal.
It's just not criminalized in a few areas.
Slight correction:
Nevada Revised Statute 201.354 Engaging in prostitution or solicitation for prostitution: Penalty; exception.
1. It is unlawful for any person to engage in prostitution or solicitation therefor, except in a licensed house of prostitution.
Prostitution in a licensed house of prostitution is "legal" not just "not criminalized."
I'm closing the thread, where is the bottom?I won't argue the point, my friend.
There's a distinction between LEGAL, and NOT CRIMINALIZED.
They are similar, but not the same.
