I have read in the state of PA a 2 year separation is warranted for a divorce and the separation can take place within the same residence if this can be proved.

This has happened in my situation. We are in separate rooms having no phsical contact/relations, but we do still share household expenses. What proof do I need to start the 2 year clock ticking?

It's been my understanding that a separation must be filed with the court before the time starts on it. I'm sure it doesn't matter where you live during the separation but it has to be filed and signed by a judge to legally count as a separation.
Wow-2 years. I've heard of a 6 month separation but I didn't know about a 2 year one. That sure makes things long and drawn out.
