I bought a 2013 taotao 50 from a private seller I only recieved A bill of sale and was able to register it in my name. On Jan 1st. I was hit while riding my scooter after procedding through a four way stop. The lady in the suv was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Her insurance deemed my scooter a total loss they now want a title before they cut me a check. Dmv stated the scooter was never titled. Now what?

Obtain something from DMV indicating there is no title. Provide that to the insurance.

Without considering any medical cost the insurance company wants to issue a check for the value of my scooter which only amounts to about $800.00

I was guessing about $600 to $700.

I suggest you talk to a lawyer about medical, if its not too late.
That is if you haven't waived your rights.
The lawyer will get you at least 50-60% more thn you'd get without one.

They ended up seeing it my way amd called it personal propery loss.
