My siblings (5) and I own a fishing cabin on a lake as Tenants in Common. As often the case, great discord and animosity has arisen. Individuals are refusing to contribute to necessary expenses, leaving it to others. Siblings go and use the property and the personal property there of other siblings. Property is neither salable nor of great financial value. Cost of something like partition, is more than property is worth. What type of enforceable rights does one tenant in common co-owner have? Is there a way I can protect my personal property from abuse? Is there a way to force co-owners to pay their share of property taxes, insurance, necessary maintenance, upkeep, repairs?
