We (my husband and I) have full custody and guardianship of our grandson. The mother has non-custodial visitation which she shares with our son. Does the mother have the right to go to the school and get any information or talk to the teacher about his behavior or anything on how our grandson is doing without our permission? Or does she have to go through us to find out?

Sometimes you have to wait for an answer. We're just volunteering our time and effort here, so no one mans the forum 24/7 to answer the questions coming in.

To answer your question, without a court order refusing her access to her child's records, the mother is absolutely legally entitled to see his records, talk to his teachers, attend P/T conferences, etc.

She does not need your permission.
