Can a person be eligible to apply for resident permanent os United State if made two retail theft: the first one was in 1996 and was pled nolo contendere with adjudication withheld; and the second was 2007 class b misdemeanor plead guilty dismissed with prejudice, she came at usa with passport visa class B and she is married with an american. It is possible everything be ok?

Has your friend talked to your immigration lawyer about this? Two convictions will make it difficult to get permanent residency, as "good character" is one of the criteria.

It sounds like your friend may have a problem with theft, even if you think you're doing it "to get nice things." Enrolling in a program that aims to help people like you stop lifting is a good first step. Otherwise, you be back, complaining about how "your friend" has been arrested a third time and "her" citizenship application has been jeopardized.

(Why do people bother with this third party stuff anyway? It's not like they're fooling anyone.)

Run, run for your lives, two shoplifting convictions?

Yikes!

How'd that happen?
