Restraint Period?

Hey all, I have a question regarding my soon to expire work contract.

Section 1 (Duration of Agreement) states 1 year. I have been with the employer for 11 months.

I have a "Restraint" clause which has a peroid of 1 year after termination of employment.

I would like to resign with this employer, and contract myself out directly to the company, whom my current employer hires me out too.

My question is, since the duration of the agreement states 1 year, but the restrained peroid states 1 year after termination of employment, does the restraint clause still stand if my employment agreement is no longer valid?
