We live in a house that abuts a commercial property that our landlord owns and operates. We share a common driveway that is very steep and for the past 7 years the landlord has been doing the snow and ice removal. This year he decided that he was no longer going to do this. When we signed our lease, he stated that he was responsible for this and that it would always be taken care of. Nowhere in our lease does it state that we are responsible for snow and ice removal. This is causing a very dangerous situation being that the driveway leads to a main artery in our community. We have already slid into oncoming traffic and thank God no-one was coming up or down the street. Someone is going to get killed over this. Can he all of a sudden decide that he is not going to maintain this, being that the driveway is on his commercial property and it os the only access to and from our apt. building?
