I am on a tourist (B-2) visa here in the U.S., which will expire in November. I expect to marry a native American citizen next month, whom I have known for several months. My question simply is how long might it take for me to obtain legal status allowing me to stay in the US (after applying for the permanant resident status through my marriage)? Can anyone give me a rough timeline of the process? Amy
