I seperated from my common law husband 5 months ago. He has taken the children and will not let me see them. I filed for a divorce and we had a hearing requesting temporary orders. He got my lawyer dismissed from the case because of conflict of interest. I have been searching for a lawyer since but, do not have the money to hire one. I recently asked for another hearing and plan to represent myself to try to get temporary custody of my children. I need to know if I can just bring my papers and documents (his criminal history, bills ect.)with me to the hearing or if I need to file these with the court before they will be allowed. Thank you in advance for any advice you could give.
