My son has bought (and paid) a 22ft. sailboat in Northport NY. Originally the seller agreed that we could work on the boat while it's in his driveway, as he agreed to keep it there until spring of 2008. Now he has liability concerns, if we get injured while working on the boat and has denied that we get near the boat. What kind of agreement can be made to free the seller of any possible liability? I have been told that if we lease (with a symbolic payment) the part of the driveway where the boat is located. The problem could be solved.
