I have a concealed weapons charge that was dismissed before it ever went to court. Can I get that expunged or off my record in Iowa?

It sounds like there may have been a clerical error, or somehow someway people have access to your arrest record.

It was a charge brought against me by the sheriff's dept. but they dismissed the case before going to court.

How do you know it is still on your record? What is it listed as?

I checked my record on the state of Iowa courts website and it shows as a felony charge but when you open up the record it shows dismissed.
