Reckless driving or not?

I posted yesterday about an unfair ticket, but I have a weird question. Everyone I talked to says that 22 MPH over the speed limit is reckless driving. However, it doesn't state that on the ticket, the only thing it says is "speeding" So how do I know if my husband is being charged with reckless driving? Will that come later? And does anyone know what the penalty is for not changing your out of state license?

Thanks,
Christina

In most states the officer has descretion as to issue a citiation for driving wreckless or simply cite someone for a basic speed violation. In California I was caught doing 87mph in a 25 mph zone. The officer warned me that he could arrest me for wreckless driving but chose to issue a basic speed violation (one point) and I went to traffic school.

On the ticket you have, check the Code number that the officer wrote down and compare that to your states vehicle code. Most likely it is just basic speeding.

Driving +1 over can be charged as reckless in WA.

"Embracing another while driving" is also reckless driving, 46.61.665.

Maybe that is why he got the ticket :D

He can go to jail if convicted.
