Receiving death threats

I've received several death threats today on my blog, both with the same message:

"You Piece of S***!! OMALI!! CURSE YOU!!!
YOU MOTHER F***ER SHOULD DIE!!!
IF I SEE U B****!! IM GONNA STAB TO TO DEATH!!!"

I have:
-IP address
-Email (It's a Yahoo email address)
-Username (If that's any help)

Is there anything I can do? I know the person, spoken to him online before, but don't know him personally (IE: In Real Life), but he's holding a grudge against me for some reason I don't know. I still have the comments on file and in the system, although hidden from public view.

Other information:
I'm under the jurisdiction of New York State.

Did you try reporting it to your local police? Death threats are serious. That's the first step.
