How the hell can someone start child support from before the child was even born?!? And when the father was still living at the house taking care of his son?!?

Can you give us more info? Normally you cannot start CS before the birth. also if Dad was living in the house and neither him or mom were in gov't assistance, no CS should be owed during that time.

Child Support

My fiance' was stationed in the Army in Alaska, he met some psycho who trapped him into having a baby. he was living with her and his baby for 4 or 5 months before she threatened to kill him then kicked him out. so he came back down to his home state of South Carolina, about a month after we arrived she wrote him a letter saying he owes child support from before his kid was even born, he owes amost $6,000 for a 1 year old!!! and now shes somehow trying to get it up to almost $10,000 in less than 30 days!!!! how is this possible when he was not even told about the child support order until a few months after it had started. another thing, he has 2 kids hes payin $175 a month for the primary child, but he is being forced to give this other psycho $375 a month when he's not even making that much a week!! how can i go about fixin this problem? PLEASE HELP!!!

Where was this letter from? If it from her he can ingnore it. He might want to call the Alaska child suppoer bureau to see if there is an open ordr. If he can prove he lived with the mom those months he should not owe, unless she was on public assistance. If the child and mom are still in Alaska he should speak with an alaska attorney. If this child is his though, he will have to pay CS if mom files for it. Has paternity been established?
