Question on downloading eBooks

I would like to know if downloading eBooks was illegal. Has there ever been a lawsuit against someone downloading eBooks? All I hear are cases that get big money such as movies and music, but has such a thing happened to eBooks and is it illegal to download them? Thanks

Using them would be. Most efforts are focused on the uploaders/distributors of these e-books because they are the root of the problem and potentially where the money lies. Going after downloaders would almost always prove not worth the while. Technically, you should not use or have anything that you don't own the rights to use.

Thanks. Is it more expensive to target the downloaders, this is the reason that they go only after the uploaders?
