Question About Passport

I want to get a passport for my daughter who is almost two. Her father has chosen not to be part of her life, or give me child support. He has chosen though, to be a jerk anytime he possibly can. I have no custody order. We have had hardly any contact since I became pregnant. When I recently did call him to ask him to sign for her passport so I can move with my husband, who is in the military, to Guam he laughed in my face and declared "try and make me do anything for you!" Is there anything that I can do?

I would be calling around to an adoption attorney to see about him terminating rights and your husband adopting. Was paternity ever established? Since he has basiclaly abandoned the child it might not be too hard to terminate his rights.

Or, you can talk to an attorney about filing a motion in court to force him to sign off on the passport. Until you take him to courthe probably will not cooperate.
