Public School - Closed Practice

Our school system has a new middleschool basketball coach. He has implemented a closed door policy in regards to anyone being in the gym while he conducts practice. This is a public school and I was wondering if he can legally do this?

As long as it does not violate some odd state law or school policy, of course he can.

If you have a problem with the practice being "closed" you can speak to the coach or the school administration.
