Hi my name is Daniel, last summer my family and I had a house fire and now we are having some problems with our insurance company. They are asking me for proof of ownership/receipts to 130+ blueprints. I am currently a college student and will major architecture and I have been pursuing my career since high school. I purchased roughly 130 blueprints since my freshman year in high school (2002). I paid roughly $300-$500 a blueprint and I did have receipts for a majority of them but they all burned along with the blueprints.

How can I prove ownership? Is there a legal way I could create my own receipt?

Thank You,
Daniel

Who did you buy these blueprints from?

Does anyone not connected with you or who would benefit from the claim know you had them?

I bought the blueprints from homeowners. If I saw a custom home that I liked I would knock on the door and explain that I plan to be an architect and I really like their house and if I could have a copy of their blueprint. I then would pay for the copying fee.

Many people know I had them that would not benefit from the claim.
