Hello all,
New guy on the block. Trying to put together a Deed Theft (and other federal fraud crimes) case, with evidence, but curious if any precedents have been set in Texas (or anywhere else in the US, I suppose), where obstruction of a civil lawsuit by the defendant becomes criminal. Thank you.

And this would help you how?

Anyway, while some states have such, Texas appears not to have it.
It takes more than a "precedent" to make a crime. There has to be a statute.

All of the above is TRUE, and I personally attest to the legality of the above statements, as if it needs my attestation.

At any rate, what was posted is legally accurate.

Exactly what do you mean by "obstruction" by the defendant. The defendant is not required to make the plaintiff's job in the lawsuit and the defendant has the right to vigorously contest the claim. So what kinds of actions do you think are a problem here?
