I was in an auto accident where I was deemed as "at fault". My auto coverage had lapsed just prior to this happening. Now, I received a pre-subrogation letter from the other driver's insurance co. for a claim paid to them. This means I'm being sued? I have zero money, assets or property of any kind. I'm unemployed, already drowning in a decent amount of debt and my car was totalled, so I have nothing. What do I need to do?

This does mean that they are commming after you. However, because you have nothing, what is there to take? Some insurance co are agressive, other might go away, Good Luck!
