Hello - I was offered and accepted and started a job through a placement service that required a pre employment drug screen and background check. After one week on the job the service called to tell me not to show up on Monday as my background check came back with a misdemeanor assault charge from 11/2002. Is there anything I can do? I really would like the job. If thats not possible do I have any legal recourse as I gave my 2 week notice and left my previous job and am now unemployed. I also spent money in relocation and other expenses.
