Child Abuse, Molestation, Porn Potential legal charges

I have a problem, I am/was a member of the site "Seeking Arrangements". I came across a profile of a 20yo. Began a texting dialogue with the young lady who then told some hard to believe stories to me and then stated she was actually 16. Scams are normal on this site and I assumed this to be one as well. She then sent me three unsolicited nude photos and I sent one of myself. At 11pm this past Monday she told me she wanted to come to my apt and told me she drives and had her own car - another hard to believe fact given how could a 16yo have a car not to mention they are not allowed to drive at night. I told her sure come over. She never showed up as I expected. Tuesday evening a man claiming to be her father called me very angry and told me I should be arrested for possession of child porn and being a predator and his daughter was in a car accident on her way to me. I was distraught and he then told me we could get past this if I helped him with the hospital bills - so I sent via PayPal $2k to him. Wednesday night he called again and told me it wasn't enough money - so I sent him another $3K. Everything I have done from moment 1 was beyond foolish, nevertheless should he attempt to press charges - am I in trouble? I have never been arrested in my life, have never been a predator nor have I ever viewed "child porn" in the past. I am very grateful for any advice anyone may lend.

Just as you were told on the other forum where you asked it, you fell for the scam.

If you're not trolling, you're out $5K.
If the man was real, its doubtful he'll contact you, he's $5K richer.
If the cops don't come knocking, you've learned a $5K lesson, most of us already knew; stay off SCAMMER sites trolling for "nooky" lest you get "tooky"!!!!!

the young lady who then told some hard to believe stories to me and then stated she was actually 16. . . . She then sent me three unsolicited nude photos and I sent one of myself.

So...after learning that she was 16, you still sent her a nude photo?! Sigh....

Everything I have done from moment 1 was beyond foolish

Yup.

should he attempt to press charges - am I in trouble?

He can report what happened to the police, but only the district attorney can press charges. That said, you have admitted to some rather serious criminal activity, and it's worth pointing out that this man also committed extortion. The best case scenario for you is to hope this was just a scam to extort money from you.

I have never . . . been a predator

You mean before this happened, right?

If I were you, I would do the following:

1. By a new phone with a new number and destroy your existing phone (or, at a minimum, reset your current phone to the original factory settings and change the number).

2. Hard wipe any other computer you may have used in this little kiddie porn endeavor of yours.

3. Think long and hard about seeing a mental health professional. That you exchanged nude photos after learning that she was a child indicates a serious mental issue.

I'll bet the girl never even existed and the photos came from porn sites where youthful looking women pretend to be teens.

James, if you were a member of any other species on Earth you would have wandered from the herd and been eaten by predators. Darwin was wrong. The unfit do survive.
