I recently resigned a position with a juvenile group home. My position allowed me a private office in the home. Since leaving, the agency has removed what they believe are my possessions and have moved them from the home to the administrative office. When I request a few minutes in the home to check my office for missed items I am told to tell them and they will obtain the item. The problem is, I cant possibly remember every item of that belongs to me.
My question is, do I have the legal right to inspect and reclaim my possessions in my old office? If so, is there some code I can site to gain access or will I need to hire a lawyer to help? Or, is my case groundless and Im out of luck?
