Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication possession/theft

i worked at a pharmacy in the front of the store in ohio i stole 10vicoden and 10oxycodone from a coworker and got caught.I've never even had a speeding ticket this is my first offense what all can i be charged with ?and what sentence could i be facing? i'm scared to death i talked to a lawyer and he said he could get me off without a criminal record i can't afford an attorney can a public deffender do the same?
