Criminal Law ????Possession of firearm(misdemeanor) and citizenship????

Hello, I have a question regarding a misdemeanor (possession of firearm) that i got in July of 2000. Im ready to apply for U.S. citizenship and I was wondering how will it affect my case? Will I get denied, any risk of deportation? The gun (bb) was not real but I was given "possession of firearm" anyway. I got 1 yr of supervision and pay $90.00. Any advice would be appreciated highly. I would Appreciate it highly if someone gave me little advice on my situation. I have everytyhing ready to start my Citizenship process but this is the only thing that is holding me back. Please help.
