I got pulled over in Louisiana in 2006 and got charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. I was set up for court in 2007 and never appeared i live in Texas there is a bench warrant out for my arrest. My question is: Will Louisiana extradite me if i turn myself in in Texas?

Yes, there is likely a warrant, and no, you would not be extradited over something so petty.

Texas won't even arrest you, once they discover that LA won't extradite you. If you want to clear this up, you'll have to go back to LA. For something as petty as this, you'll have to go back the place you were arrested. With minor charges, most localities within the state won't arrest you if it's more than 25-50 miles away, either.

You'll eventually be driving with a Texas license obtained when you traded your LA license for a Texas one.

I thought your LA offense was criminal, not traffic.
If it is criminal, it should have no impact on your Texas renewal.
A real easy way to find out, it to try renewing your license online.
