Okay. I have joint custody of my daughter. I keep her all the time her father never wants to see her never even calls to see how she is doing. My main problem is, I was told that he legally has to pay for half of her child care. He is refusing to pay it and refusing to even talk to me when I try to talk to him about it. I am very behind in paying because I cannot afford child care on my own. I am on a waiting list to get government help but untill then its all on me. Because I am so behind the day care has said that if I do not pay that I can no longer take my daughter there which then means I cant work. How can I get him to pay his half? Another question is if I took him to court do you think I would be able to get sole custody of her. He never wants to see her and he has only taken care of her once and when I picked her up her diaper was dripping with pee and she wasnt fed and he had no milk or juice or anything to give her to drink.

He does not have to pay anything without a court order. Is there an order for custody, child support and day care? Do you have a home day care if you don't you might want to find one since they are cheaper than commercial ones. You had a child with a deadbeat, you may have a hard time getting money out of him.
