I need advice and I wish I could prove my case but I don't have a job because my parents won't allow me to work but there are circumstances where my step-mother no longer wants me home. I don't want to be home either and I have an alternative place to live. I know the consequences of this action but my life has gotten so carried away. I have run away once before and there were instances previous to that where I have let the house for a few hours due to the fact that I was upset.

My dad has legal custody of me but he did this without my consent when I was thirteen years old. I am now seventeen. I am usually an A-B student. I have a 4.2 GPA and I need help. There has also been an instance in my llife where I filed a CPS Report against my father for a heated conversation that got a bit physical.

I have an alternative place to stay. My friend's family will allow me to stay with them and I will continue school. I know the court wants the minor to be self-sustaining but is there a way where I can prove that I will work and
provide for myself ?

I've heard of successful emancipations where the minor only needs the parent's consent for the emancipation to be granted. I need help.

Please don't start new threads on the same subject.

BTW, your father did not need your consent to seek custody of you. He DID need a judge to agree that it was in your best interests to be in your father's custody, and apparently the judge agreed.

Please check the link on your other thread.
