In mine and my ex husbands divorce decree it says that all personal property from before marriage is to be returned to it's owner. Well my ex's mustang has been sitting at my grandfathers since April of 2004 and our divorce was finalized in April of 2007. I have tried to contact him several times to come get the car because my grandfather wants it gone. Everytime he says he's coming he doesn't. But my grandfather refuses to have it towed off because of the problems it could cause for my ex in the future. I asked him the other day if he would just sign the car over to me so that way he doesn't have to worry about it and I can sell it and get rid of it. Well now he's saying he will come and get it instead of me selling it. Which has happened in the past and he never comes. Since it has been there for so long is there anyway that my grandfather can go to court and claim he abandoned the car to have it titled in his name?
